5 Easy Ways to Spice Up Your Look This Summer

Summer has arrived, and what better time to reinvent your beauty regimen and maximize your glow?! After all, your body is a temple, and it deserves quality treatment.

With so many options for diets and workout regimens, we understand that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Don’t worry! Achieving summer beauty goals doesn’t have to decimate your wallet or take up all your time.

Here are 5 easy ways to revamp your summer look. They’re easy on your time and hard earned $, but go a long way in making you look and feel your absolute best!

1.      Try a DIY hair treatment

Heal your hair with your own homemade deep-conditioning treatment using natural, tried and true ingredients. One we love uses 1 tbsp coconut oil, ¼ cup of milk, and 1 ripe avocado:

  • Grind chunks of avocado to create a puree
  • Add the coconut oil and milk; mix well
  • Apply the concoction to your hair and scalp, and leave in for 20 minutes
  • Wash your hair with warm water, making sure you remove any leftover debris

2.      Add some sparkle with hoop earrings

Hoop earrings add that extra touch to even the most minimalist looks. They also complement pretty much any outfit! These essentials are cheap and easy to find at lots of retail stores (hint: Forever21 sells sets of hoop earrings for under $4) Gold, silver, black hoops – find whatever makes you feel good and rock them like a queen!

3.      Grow out your eyebrows

Less is more! Why get your eyebrows done when you can embrace your natural self? Step outside your comfort zone and show yourself some love by letting your eyebrows grow out untamed. Result? A strong bold brow: a statement that demands attention and shows how comfortable you are in your body

4.      Treat yourself to a mani/pedi

Just the experience of going to a nail salon is refreshing and worthwhile. We’re huge fans of bold looks with touches of quirkiness (let your personality shine through – see above!)

5.      Wear sunblock

So many people don’t incorporate sunblock into their daily routines, but a little sunblock goes a long way. Sunblock is proven to block harmful UV rays that can cause premature aging and skin cancer, as well as eruptions of blotchiness on your face. Don’t skimp on the little things. Invest in quality sunblock to help your skin maintain its glow. Then you’ll be ready to go outside and soak in that Vitamin D, all while looking and feeling your best!

    Coconut oil is a miracle oil for the hair for sure! Been using it as a pre-wash oil treatment since I was little and all the women in my family (including myself) swear by it. Yogurt and lemon are also great so would recommend switching up that formulation for a twist.

    Yesss, I’ve been wanting to wear out thse new hoop earrings I bought – I literally got em with to spice up my summer outfits nice to know I’m not the only one who thinks that way. Haven’t let my eyebrows grow since I was a freshman in college, might try that too
