good alternative to minoxidil

"i didn't want to start minoxidil because often a 1 way street. i've always had the head of hair of 2 people. i've had 3 brain surgeries and only had to move part over an inch or 2 to cover up the shaved half of head. i didn't notice the thinning on top til i had my neck surgery and shaved from top of ears down. i've been using for 4months and someone noticed new growth sprouting up from top of head so great alternative.
